When
I entered
my forties
after being in sales over 20 years I
found myself in a sales rep job I hated. I hated
getting
up every morning and I hated
commuting over 40
minutes on a good day (over 1 hour on bad days).
After all my sales experience, not only was I being managed by kids
half my age, I was given a territory where my predecessor's accounts
had all
unceremoniously quit. This put me in a huge negative quota a couple of
weeks into the year. It
was a nightmare. I was forced to attend ridiculous,
morning meetings and explain to
everyone, everyday why I hadn't corrected the situation I found myself
in.
It's no fun getting brow beat by people with half my sales experience.
Every time they looked at me I could see 'loser' in their eyes. You
could just feel them thinking, "When I'm his age, I hope I'm not still
in a place like this cold-calling for a living."
Hell, when I was their age I would look at older salesmen the same way.
My name is Ken
Ross and like so many sales people I think cold calling
in the 21st century is for the birds.
Who
wants to
get beat up all
day talking to people who hate the fact that you called. Between caller
id, block call lists and secretary screening, it's just not
what
it used to be. Not that
it was that great before.
Then The
Inevitable Started To Happen...
The final kiss of death
was the trade show. Being new to this
organization, I must have pulled the short straw. What a prison
sentence the trade show turned out to be.
I already had a negative quota and now they wanted me to lose even more
commissions by taking away the little time I had to prospect.
Not
only was I absolutely bored to death. I was wasting my
time talking to unqualified prospects...and my feet were
killing
me!
After spending my day talking to prospects that weren't even in my
territory,
I still had to go home after work and catch up on a massive amount of
paperwork.
They weren't paying me to sell.
They
were paying me to take rejection.
Forget
this! I was done!
Then to add insult to injury they confiscated all the leads and
contacts I had developed when I left the company. I never got to take
advantage of all the time and money I spent developing my territory.
And that was
the point
when I realized I had to do something
different.
| I
Tried MLM
& I Failed.
At
the time, network marketing seemed to be the 'in thing' to do and after
speaking to three
of my friends who had had moderate success with it, I decided to give
it a go.
Here's
the problem. I had to make monthly purchases of
dietary supplements I was
frightened into believing I needed. Instead of making retail sales I
ended up buying overpriced products that I had to eat.
After
a
few weeks, things began to go downhill. One of the major issues
was that I was spending so much money
on the
products. But it wasn't just that. I had to attend meetings
by
phone and online to supposedly build my downline. I had to harass my
friends and family. I was forced to make friends with people I'd never
associate with in real life. I can't say for sure but it started to
seem like
fewer and fewer friends were home when I called.
I can't
blame them. My own wife was tired of
hearing it.
She claimed it was losing her friendships. Life was no fun.
What's the
advantage of working at home if you don't enjoy it?
MLM wasn't the
answer..

Then I
Tried Too Many Get-Rich-Quick
Schemes
To Mention...
I listened to
so many
so-called Internet
gurus I could've written a book. The majority of it just turned out
to be crap. It was always the same thing. I'd pay the money
and
download the program, ebook, or whatever.
Once I read the instructions no matter what the program, the bottom
line was, I needed to drive traffic to a website. No matter
how
good the opportunity sounded
if I couldn't get good targeted traffic I wasn't going to make any
substantial income.
These programs always claim to do all the work for you. They
come with websites, sales banners, sample email, ways to collect
payment. They have everything except what you need most, if you plan to
make any money.
You need eyeballs
looking at your sales pieces.
In Other Words, You Need Traffic! |
Eventually,
I found something that worked.
My life changed when I
ran into a long time
friend, Robert and shared my
plight with him. He could totally relate. He reminded me with
all
my sales experience I didn't have
to live like that.
He showed me how I could just stay home
and make
a great living selling search engine advertising for
companies like Google,
Yahoo & MSN.
That's when the light came on. What has a better future than search
engine advertising? Let's face it fewer and fewer people are
using the yellow pages to find things. It's just easier to go to Google
and do a search.
Instead of paying for advertising, why not make
money from advertising?
Every business that's looking for customers now and in the future is
going to be relying
on the Internet for new business. The research I did showed that search
advertising is a $12 billion market today and is expected to grow to
$25 billion by 2011. ( There
was plenty of room for me to get
a piece of the action.)
Robert explained to me all about this new
program called Ground & Pound Competitive E-marketing. I'm here
to tell you, it changed my life.
Once I got started I
found that the demand was so great, I didn't even
have to cold call.
Imagine that...my leads
were actually calling me. These
businesses needed me. I was making a great living in
sales without cold calling or even leaving my home. How cool is that?
Here's How This Works
For YOU...
The reason I recommend
Ground & Pound Competitive E-Marketing
is because I've followed the step-by-step instructions found in the
book to make a great living. Instead of listening to so-called online
gurus I never heard of, I make
money online the same way
powerhouses like Google, Yahoo and MSN do.
Now instead of looking
down on me, my peers look up to me. I have
a
great life. I can't wait to wake up every
morning. I
look forward
to the leads that are going to call. I never know whom I'll be dealing
with. Sometimes they're large companies with large advertising
budgets. Sometimes they're smaller, but the beauty is, I can do
business with them no matter what their size. AND THE CHOICE IS MINE!
This business has afforded me the ability to eat in the finest
restaurants. My wife and I frequently visit the theatre. I own my own
home and I really love my work.
Lean
a little closer...I
need to tell you this in all sincerity. There's
no better feeling in the world
than having your clients call and tell you how you've helped their
company. Think you would walk a little taller after hearing how much
you've
helped day after day? I enjoy that as much, if not more, than the
money.
I
feel great
about what I do. You can too. You don't have to live any
other way!
Sincerely,
Ken
Ross
P.S.
This is a low learning curve. If you've ever sold anything in your
life, you can do this!
